Series I lamps cook their own looms. Series III projectors are happier, until the igniter for the Xenon pack dies.
Open the bucket. Brittle wires at the bulb holder are the rule. Fuses 13–16 only if BOTH sides died. Aiming motors seize and take the switch with them.
Ballast and igniter. A lamp that strobes on start and then dies is the igniter, not the fuse. After any battery work the self-leveling may sit in the weeds until you cycle the switch.
