The bar is why the R129 was the first SL you could crash in and tell the story. A bar that will not come up is not a cosmetic issue.
Trunk fuse 4 (control) and fuse 7 (pump). Then the two roll-bar cylinders. A roof that works and a bar that does not is those cylinders or the roll-bar module, not the pump.
